Invitation to Attend the IDEARS Seminar (LSBU) on Governance and Oil Extraction in the Niger Delta
Dear Friends, We cordially invite you to come and attend a seminar we are organising on June 21st 2012 as part of the IDEARS seminar series at the Weeks Centre for Social and Policy Research, London South Bank University. The seminar event will be held in partnership with the Ethiope Foundation at the Southwark campus. The theme of the seminar is "Governance & Oil Extraction in the Niger Delta".
The sub themes will be;
a. Governance and corruption
b. Ecocide eradication
c. Corporate involvement and responsibility
d. Campaigns and initiatives

In December 2012, the Ethiope Foundation will be launching the Ethiope Quarterly, a multi-disciplinary peer-review journal on the socio-economic impacts of resource extraction activities in communities in developing nations with particular emphasis on the Niger Delta.
